For Hellseher
Ben was alive and feeling amazing. He had jumped off a building with Klaus's encouragement (Okay so Klaus said NOT to after he did it, but oh well) and ever since Ben had been looking for something else to give him that same kind of rush. Looking to live a little.
Some how that was how they ended up at Club 24, a 24 hour open club, bar, eatery, and what ever the hell else they could cram into the place. It was perfect. Dark with a lot of neon lights on the dance floors, the bar was well places to be off to the side and the music was jumping, giving the night life something fun to dance to.
Ben had never been to a club while alive, and only there when Klaus went, which generally meant the other wasn't all that sober, so enjoying a club? Not really a thing. But now Ben was alive and he could FEEL the bump of the music in his chest. He could understand the need to dance now. He even agreed to drink with Klaus tonight.
Ben had got a simple rum and coke to start the night off, but Klaus poopoo'ed that almost instantly. Not only was a round of shots ordered for them both, but it was a ROW.
"Klaus, I'm not going to be able to get through all this!" he said loud enough to be heard, brows raised and looking over the row curiously. He'd never allowed himself to be drunk before. Was he really going to do it now?

"Then pay attention to where we're walking." he teased, grinning into the other. God he was hot. Heated and not from blush. Just... tired of wearing his jacket. Wished he was home so he could take it off. No wonder Klaus ended up in his unders so often.
He nudged the other, and said softly. "Keep walking. I don't.... won't distract you no more." He said, closing his eyes again a moment. He nudged again and tried to walk with the other once more, humming softly into his neck, not at ALL distracting now.

Ecstasy seems to have that kind of effect on a lot of people; Klaus, on the other hand, takes it a step further by not giving a shit where he decides to lose his clothes-- people should simply be happy he's not nude most days. He does prefer to avoid any public indecency charges though, so it's convenient he's been hanging around the academy more often.
He takes a moment to regather himself, inhales a few deep breaths and sighs them back out, eventually continuing to move forward. "You say that, but I don't believe it for some reason." Maybe that reason is because Ben's thrumming against what little skin he's showing at the moment, sending tiny electric shocks from there, all the way down his spine.
Somehow, he keeps them shuffling forward, picks up the pace when he feels he won't be too distracted.

And Ben would be upset if he took off and left his jacket. Even alive again this is his favorite one. Though when they get home, that might not last long. Right to the damn floor.
Still, he smiled as the other said he didn't believe him for some reason. "Why? I haven't done anything to distract you yet. I could have done this..." he kissed his neck. "or this..." and then his ear. "But I didn't." He said profoundly. So strong willed. He did NONE of these things (and yet he did both of them to demonstrate them, whoops).

Unsurprisingly, taking their closeness into consideration, he's started getting a bit overheated too, meaning it won't be unlikely that he'll lose his hoodie once they make it home-- just in his bedroom, so nobody decides to run off with one of the newest things he's gotten his hands on.
They've gotten further down the sidewalk, are actually approaching the gate to the academy where Klaus hesitates to fumble for his key, then he draws them up one step, has to stop as soon as Ben kisses his neck and ear again. He keeps going, somehow ends up at the door, thumps his forehead against it with a breathless sigh. "If we fall down the stairs and break our necks, it's your fault."
no subject
This was the first time he felt really damn good. High, sure, but there was an attention being given to him that he never really had before either. It was different than before. New for him. He liked it.
And as they make it up the steps, he's about to leave another kiss to the mans neck, only to feel the abrupt stop. And then he draws back, a hand coming to his mouth to cover it. "Oh!" "Oh, okay, no. We're not going to fall down the steps." And a hand came up to touch the others forehead.
"God that was really hollow sounding." Then a blink. "I don't mean your head is--I mean... it sounded hard. Like it hurt. You okay?"
no subject
He shrugs, leans into the hand on his forehead, eyes flickering shut at the tenderhearted touch. "It's not a long drop, at least? Not that I'm saying we should test our durability by falling down them, but." He's just sayin', you know?
After giving an amused chuckle and reaching to circle Ben's wrist, Klaus rolls his shoulders again, briefly directs his attention to open the door then gives an insistent tug. "It's fine. I'll be better once we're inside and I can cool off a little. Maybe have a smoke?"
no subject
He didn't MEAN his head was empty! It just came out that way! Swear it. He just meant it sounded like it hurt. It sounded loud. But he did check him out, as best as he could, to make sure he was okay. He was now not standing too close, but not threatening to fall either.
"No, let's not test it. We're both stable. We got this. Oh, I'm sorry for making you knonk yourself." He apologized again, only to get tugged as the other managed to open the door. he ducked inside with him, a hand over her mouth to keep him silent.
"It is hot..." he whispered, wanting to toss his jacket off as soon as possible, but at least holding the sense to keep it on until they reach their floor, or something. "Have i driven you to needing a smoke?" He said with a teasing sound.

Klaus knew exactly what Ben meant, he'd just wanted an excuse to give his brother shit for saying something that could be ambiguous, so why not take the chance while it had been presented to him? His head isn't empty (most days) and he's well-aware Ben didn't mean any harm by commenting on it-- quite the opposite, actually, considering he'd asked if he was alright.
"Don't worry about it," he reassures, rolling his shoulders airily, self-assuredness obvious in his tone. He's not freaking out about it, meaning Ben doesn't need to either, which leaves them with nothing to fret over.
Nodding in agreement toward Ben's comment while he secures the door again, Klaus unzips his own hoodie, lets out a relieved sigh then playfully narrows his eyes at Number Six. "Yeah, and you've hardly done anything? So, I'd say that's real un-fucking-fair," even though he's snickering as he starts leading them back toward his bedroom.
no subject
That's not nice, Klaus. He's really fucked up here and thought you might have meant that you were offended by his silly comment. Okay, no, his brain isn't even registering the empty comment anymore. It's all good.
"I wont worry." he said in a hushed whisper, leaning a hand on a door frame for a moment and letting out a breath. taking another. Okay, this is fine. He started to pull at his leather coat now, sighing a bit.
"That seems terrible. I've hardly done anything and I've driven you to smoking. What's that way about me?" he said, chuckling, then lifting a finger to his mouth, shhing softly. "Don't wake anyone up." he warned... well, Klaus. Though that might be for himself too.
He reached out a hand to take hold of a piece of Klaus' shirt, holding on as the other lead the way.

See? That's the lovely thing about drugs: after a little while, you won't even remember most of what's happened! Except what Klaus might want them to, but it'll only be the good things, he promises.
"Okay, good." He hesitates whenever Ben does, sparing him a concerned glance during his hesitation at the doorway then sighing a relieved breath of his own once it seems like he's doing alright. Should it be necessary, Klaus'll move to Ben's side and help him walk since it'd be easier doing it that way.
"It's utterly tragic, sweetheart. Just a little necking and you've got me all hot under the collar." And Ben is free to take the comment in whatever sense he deems necessary. "Ex-squeeze me? Don't you shhh me when you're being noisy, too!" At least he's coherent enough to not let his voice go above a harsh whisper or else he might've very well blown their cover right there.
Rather than let his brother fumble and end up letting go, he reaches to take hold of the hand clasping his shirt, gently dipping his fingers into the spaces between Ben's while he continues leading them along. He gets there, stalls outside the door to fumble with the knob for a solid minute before finally forcing his way through, leading Ben inside first then shutting the door behind them afterward.

He smiles dumbly at the pet names. He knows Klaus is full of pet names, but he always did like hearing them thrown at him. Well, most the time. 'Sweetheart' made him grin, but also the necking comment. "Ohhhh. Is that the problem?" Ben, you knew that was the problem. "Then I shouldn't have stopped."
"Shhh" He repeated, but he was giggling now, and it's a wonder someone doesn't catch them returning. "I'm whispering!" he stage whispered back to the other. Though he got more silent as they got to the dorm floor.
And as he was guided through to Klaus's room, he made his way to plop down on the small bed, pulling at his jacket instantly, because he knew it was okay to remove it now. They were safe. "Why's it so hot in here?" Jacket? To the floor!

"Hate to tell ya, but that's partially the drugs, too. Could be a little warm, though." Klaus has a good remedy for that, unironically. He reaches a hand out, gently cups his hello palm against Ben's cheek and lets his cooler skin start sapping up some heat. Supernatural ability taken into account, he's always run colder than any normal person, so now's his chance to let someone use it to their advantage, he guesses. Why not? It's only Ben, anyhow.
After his fingertips have begun to warm, he slides down to his brother's neck, head tipped contemplatively. "That helping any?"
no subject
And as Klaus said it was most likely the drugs, Ben let out a soft chuckle at that, giving the other a faint smile. "How do you deal with this in the summer? I'd think you'd melt." He said on a whisper, as if he still had to talk softly.
Only the cooler hand came to rest on his cheek and Ben hummed softly to the touch. Not only did it feel nice but the cool was very welcoming. He turned his face a bit to press into the others hand, eyes closing just a bit. Just enough that he was peeking through his eye lashes.
And as they slide to his neck he humed again, head tilting forward a bit, limp for a moment. A smile blooming more on his face. "Feels real good." He turned his head and nuzzles the others wrist where he could, giving a small peck of a kiss to it. "Thank you."
no subject
How does he handle it during the summer? Hoo boy. "When I was." Pause. Well, no reason to sugarcoat shit, "Homeless, I guess? I stayed wherever there was air conditioning for as long as possible... then if I got lucky and hooked up with someone for a decent amount of time? Fans." He moves to make a sweeping gesture toward the room around them. "Fans everywhere."
Then he chuckles and settles the hand at Ben's neck, breath catching suddenly when his brother nuzzles his wrist and drops a kiss against the sensitive skin there. "You're w-welcome," fumbles out, makes Klaus sigh disappointedly, but he manages alright, even if he's inclining his head.
"Do you. Wanna stay in here tonight or risk the walk to your room?" It's not far for what it's worth, though keeping their lack of quietness in mind, rethinking the idea isn't a bad plan. "I feel like it's safer to stay here, just so you know."
no subject
"I remember a lot of that. I just... you know, forgot what temperature was like I guess. being ...gone, and all." Dead. "Guess I never thought about the AC or fans or summer time or anything like that. Feels... nice. Being too hot. Hands feel nice too." he mumbled most of that, eyes mostly closed as he absorbed the coolness from the other.
He felt a tug of a smile at his lips as the other said he was welcome. The hands at his neck, still cool feeling even though they have been heated up. "I can walk." He started first, as if he had to defend his ability to walk to his own damn room. "I'm not that... that fucked up." He stumbled over his words a bit slower. But then he kicked at his shoes, THUNK, tumble, and they both came off to his the floor now as well. "But, staying here might be nicer. Safer, I mean. Safer."
no subject
"You'll regret saying that when we finally go see the ocean and you're sweating your ass off." Klaus chuckles nonetheless, guiding both hands back to his brother's face and stroking his thumbs over his cheeks. "Or when we go to the mountains and you've got icicles hanging off your eyelashes." For emphasis (but also some other reason he can't quite put his finger on), the taller male leans in and gently kisses Ben's eyelids, lingering a moment longer than necessary at his forehead before withdrawing just as the second pair of shoes hit the floor.
He winces, praying the noise won't wake anyone else, although if it does, he's not worried about someone coming to check since they've already made it home without disrupting anybody. "No, you don't," teases Klaus, giggling yet again while shifting around so he can crawl up toward the headboard and flop on the mattress, head turned, chin propped up on his fists. "It would be nicer if you stayed here, though..."
no subject
He leaned in to the hands still, enjoying the touch so much. And as the other spoke of ice and mountains and kissed his eyelid, he smiled, eyes closed and a soft hum given. "So far that sounds nice." No, he meant so far THIS is nice, but oh well.
Even if anyone heard his shoes falling off, they wouldn't check. They'd just assume someone was home late and undressing, maybe. Either way, he was shoes free and getting comfortable. "No. I don't." he repeated, thinking he understood what he didn't. He didn't mean safer. He meant nicer. As Klaus flopped on the mattress, Ben moved to sit on the edge ,facing him still, looking down at his pretty eyes. Stupid Klaus. He'd always been so attached to him. "Then I'll stay."
no subject
Regardless of what he'd meant, the taller of them doesn't seem too put off either way. Getting into the ocean sounds nice, sitting in the warm sand sounds nice and what they're doing right now? Yeah, it's certainly pleasing.
The bed dips and Klaus's eyelashes flicker when Ben sits down, position shifting slightly, one arm draped across his hip while the other tucks underneath his head, cheek on his bicep, wrist hanging over the side of his head. "Ben," he gestures to the spot beside him, studying his brother through half-lidded eyes. "Lie down with me?"
no subject
At this point he's just very softly rambling as Klaus draped expertly all over him, like a tiny octopus. Ben paused in his rambling long enough to look down at Klaus and how he was draped. His name said, caught his attention well.
Ben blinked, then smiled an almost dumb smile before giving a firm nod and a hummed yes. He would lay down with him. "Sure. Right. Get comfy." He mumbled, shimmying a bit under the Klaus' arms and shifting to move and lay down beside him. But not just that. Though the others arms were on him, he scooted closely to Klaus, threw his outer arm over him, and nuzzled down into Klaus' shoulder, hiding his face for a moment.
no subject
Ben settles down beside him and Klaus doesn't hesitate to further invade his space, crowding closer, nestling against the side of his head and rubbing his nose across Ben's earlobe once the other male leans into his shoulder. "Funny, you're telling me to get comfy after you just buried yourself into my neck like that."
He's not complaining, though. To be honest, Klaus is quite enjoying their closeness, relishing the body heat he's sapping, humming contentedly when Ben tosses an arm around his midsection, which only encourages him to close his eyes and burrow deeper.
no subject
He rather liked his Klaus blanket too. He was comfortable and made it easier to snuzzle into him. He tightened his arm around the other and let out a soft hum. "You can't get comfortable like this?" He asked, not sure he understood what the other had meant. "Maybe I was telling myself to get comfortable." He teased, smiling into the others neck, feeling that nuzzle to his ear. His ears felt like they were on fire, so the soft touch felt lovely.
He could honestly sleep like this, even if he was hot. Klaus felt comfortable. More so than normal.
okay to fade on this? feels like a natural place to do so and we could discuss a new thing!!
Evidently, Klaus has become far more comfortable if he hadn't already been before, given the way he's barely able to keep his eyes open. He's trying for whatever it's worth, but all the alcohol seems to be taking its toll on him, the body-heat intensifying the fuzzy warmth on his brain. "'m fine. Nice and comfy and warm..." Damn, he legitimately is beginning to doze off, offering what little reassurance his nose grazing across Ben's ear might be.
He mumbles something else, something unintelligible and running all together-- there isn't much time to decipher it, but it's certainly for the best that he falls asleep with it left uninterpreted. When he says a phrase that's as important as 'I love you,' he'd like to be clearheaded.
