For Hellseher
Ben was alive and feeling amazing. He had jumped off a building with Klaus's encouragement (Okay so Klaus said NOT to after he did it, but oh well) and ever since Ben had been looking for something else to give him that same kind of rush. Looking to live a little.
Some how that was how they ended up at Club 24, a 24 hour open club, bar, eatery, and what ever the hell else they could cram into the place. It was perfect. Dark with a lot of neon lights on the dance floors, the bar was well places to be off to the side and the music was jumping, giving the night life something fun to dance to.
Ben had never been to a club while alive, and only there when Klaus went, which generally meant the other wasn't all that sober, so enjoying a club? Not really a thing. But now Ben was alive and he could FEEL the bump of the music in his chest. He could understand the need to dance now. He even agreed to drink with Klaus tonight.
Ben had got a simple rum and coke to start the night off, but Klaus poopoo'ed that almost instantly. Not only was a round of shots ordered for them both, but it was a ROW.
"Klaus, I'm not going to be able to get through all this!" he said loud enough to be heard, brows raised and looking over the row curiously. He'd never allowed himself to be drunk before. Was he really going to do it now?

He's got his shot level with the other. One He nodded. Two, he licked his lips in anticipation. Three. He threw the shot back... and shivered. his head tipped sharply to the left as he grunted, sat the shot down and grabbed the second. He was determined to keep up with Klaus.
The Second is shot back and sat down. A sharp breath is hissed out and he shakes his head, reaching for the third. "I got this." He assured the other, seeing him pause. He tipped the third one back and didn't have to shake it off like the first two. The burning feel of the drink was still burning, but it wasn't as bad as the first two.
He sat the third down and reached for the fourth, waiting for Klaus as he sucked in a breath. "God damn..." He said with a small huff.
no subject
Seeing Ben's determination is endearing and impressive all at the same time. Klaus has done this time and time again, downing drinks like there's no stopping him, following them with many other kinds of things shortly after, although his plan to help Ben avoid anything too hard. Pumping awful shit into his own veins is one thing; it's an entirely different one when it comes to his family.
He's even more pleased once they reach the third shot and Ben reassures him, convincing the taller man it's alright for him to down that shot, already reaching for the fourth at the exact same time. "Two more, baby, you got this." His tone's full of casual affection when he says it, throws back what's in his cup then grabs the final one.
And the moment Ben downs his fifth shot, Klaus does as well, throwing both of his arms into the air with an overjoyed shout. "Yeah boyyy!"
no subject
Ben has no need for anything harder than alcohol. He was here to get shit faced and dance, nothing more. Nothing at all more than that. Right? Right. He had watched Klaus shove shit into his body before, and it always frustrated him, for more reasons than it made him disappear. There was no way he was doing that shit.
"Two more." he said and threw one back. "Ahhh God, these taste terrible. One more!" He said in a rush of a breath, and threw the last one back at the same time. He sat the shot glass down a bit hard in the end, leaning on the counter as Klaus whopped it up. "Oh god, why does it have to burn?" He said but... laughed.
He let out a soft laugh, a hand rubbing at his face a moment after. "I can't believe I managed that. I've never done that... that much at once." he admits, and he's bouncing a bit in time to the music. Bouncing with out realizing it even.
no subject
"The nastier tasting the alcohol, the stronger it is," Klaus tells him, plucking up each little glass and stacking them one inside the other. Once they're a tiny tower, he slides them all back toward their server, rubbing away the excess whiskey on his lips. "And the worse your decisions can get." But Ben is laughing and he can't fight the smirk that curves his mouth upward, his hand reaching to push through his bangs, pinning them atop his head.
"Just wait until they all hit you at once." He can only imagine what kinda lightweight his brother is, ponders if it's going to be a good idea to continue pouring shots for him, but decides on something else once he sees Ben bopping along to the music. "...come on," he murmurs giddily, shifting out of his spot and reaching to clasp Ben's wrist so he can guide them toward the dance floor after he's tugged the other off his barstool.
"Let's get moving before the alcohol really hits you."
no subject
"As a matter of... of fact, I was going to try to not make choices at all? To you know, not make a fool of mysel--Oh, we're moving now." He said as the other took his wrist and started to guide him to the dance floor.
He trotted along a bit, following, then grinning as they hit the dance floor. "I've never danced at a club before. I mean, I was kind of dead and dancing when you were sober enough for it, but that doesn't really count." He rambled a bit, bouncing still.
"Oh wow. I think it's starting to hit me." he said, shaking his head a moment then laughing as it felt spinny. "This is great!"
no subject
He stops once he thinks they've gone far enough, drawing Ben close β still an arms-length apart though β so he doesn't lose him in the sea of bodies. "No, it doesn't count at all, in my opinion. We've gotta teach you how to really move." And if he's going to be the one to do it, Ben better be ready to learn everything (or at least most things). Dancing is one of his favorite pastimes, after all.
"Yeah? You sure are bouncing." Klaus considers Ben with those dark-rimmed eyes, flashing an exuberant smile as he circles both hands around the other male's shoulders. "Alright, Benny boy: show me your moves."
no subject
And they weaved through a crowd to the dance floor, the center of it, with a lot of people. Ben never liked crowds but right now he felt alright with this one. And yes, he was still a bot bouncy. That is... until the other pointed it out.
Ben blinked and stopped bouncing, glancing down at his feet a moment and back up as Klaus rested hands on his shoulders. "Should I not be bouncy?" he said, and was... bouncing again, just a bit. Then he was smiling at being called Benny Boy. "I have no moves." Oh but he did. And they weren't too terrible? He had watched enough raves and club kids to know how they danced and he was only mildly bad at it, mildly good.
no subject
"Here," offers the taller brother, circling Ben's wrists and shifting them a hair closer, this way Ben will be able to see his feet a bit better without having people bumping into them. "Follow my lead, okay?" Then, he begins moving side to side, shifting from one foot to the other, swaying along to the beat of the music around them.
"Just kind of go with the flow. Feel the rhythm in your soul and let it take you over." He almost wishes they'd grabbed glow items at the front door, but as the night progresses, it's safe to assume they'll magically 'happen' across some.
no subject
Now he's having to learn to dance at a club. "I'm not 'cute'." He protested as Klaus took his wrists and, and god, he felt lose. his arms moved easy with Klaus' movements, and he was moving his feet like Klaus was. "Follow your led, captain." He said with a hum, grinning now.
"Rhythm and soul. Rhythm and soul." he repeated, and yeah he was feeling it now. The drinks that is. Ben is such a lightweight. He literally just took all those shots and now the warm had spread all over and he was feeling it. "Hey, I can do this." He said, twisting his hands so he could take the others hands, fingers curling between the others fingers, and moving with Klaus.
no subject
He rolls his eyes at Ben's response, although his mouth upturns anyway. "Don't be ridiculous," he chides gently. While they move, he flickers his gaze between their feet and his brother's face, studying the way he smiles, how they move in tandem. "You're doing great, mate." His left eye closes in a wink then he momentarily focuses on their shoes again, the slight buzz he's feeling himself tingling his fingertips.
"Yeah, yeah." He's glancing back up, just in time to watch the nearby lights dance across Ben's face andβ Oh, those are... definitely fingers sliding between his own, coaxing him into peeking down from his peripheral at their now interlocked hands, though rather than pull away, he gives a reassuring squeeze then increases the pace of his swing. "Sure you can! Knew you had it in you all along."
no subject
"We're dancing at a club with no steps involved. This is ridiculous as it gets!" he teased, jumping around in a dance with the other. Had this been something more formal, he might actually kill it. As it was, he was trying to let himself go.
Especially while having the others hands entwined with his own, while feeling really drunk (please don't feed him anymore drinks, or, rather, do and see what happens). the lights dancing off his face show a brightness to his face that the lights only enhanced. A sparkle to his eyes that seemed to appear once he let himself go. There was no restraint to the smile and it reached those eyes with ease. The laugh was just as bright.
"Fine. Maybe you're right. Maybe this is what I needed! Maybe after that jump we did, and everything, maybe this,... this is... is what I needed." He said firmly. "Thanks! For getting me out and doing things I never... I never done before."
no subject
"Why do people insist that dancing needs to be structured? Haven't you ever heard of a freestyle?" Offhandedly, he wonders how Ben would do with something like a waltz or a foxtrot, briefly considers the idea of learning for himself, but is drawn back to the moment when his brother laughs again.
It's such a treat, getting to see him relax like this. Klaus feels rather lucky once he stops to think about it, and yet he's doing everything in his power to not show the way it makes his cheeks flush somewhat. The fact Ben begins admitting he's right and thanking him won't help matters any, of course.
"After that jump, we needed to do something less adrenaline pumping." And what better way to do so than partying it up at a club? He unwittingly shifts a step closer, inclines his head to hide the blush creeping across his cheeks, his fingers squeezing a second time around Ben's. At least he can claim he's red because of the alcohol and Ben should be none the wiser. "You're welcome. S'long as you stick with me, you'll always have a good time."
no subject
"Structure... it... it's just neat." Wow that was lame. He laughed, grinning about it. "Rules. It has rules and they can be fun, but this is fun too." He admitted while swaying their arms a bit more.
It felt good to let go. To let loose.
"No way. We're not done with the adrenaline pumping, bucko." He said firmly, pulling the other closer to dance with as he spoke. "I want to feel that rush again. This is good, but I have never bungee jumped, or taken a death defying swing jump into a stream, or hiked a... a mountain, or kissed a girl, or sky dived, or any of that. Dancing isn't the end of this new adventure of life, 'kay?"
He's so serious now.
no subject
"Just remember who you're telling that to." Yeah, the most unstructured sibling ever, more than likely. "We'll make a rule-breaker outta you yet."
Nothing too serious, of course, but it's exceedingly nice to watch Ben step outside of his comfort zone.
He breathes a surprised woah after Ben pulls him closer, blinking rapidly at how little space they've actually got between them, looking like he's about ready to make a suggestion when Ben admits to having never done so many thingsβ His train of thought is effectively derailed. "Wait, what?" he asks disbelievingly. "You've never kissed a girl? Oh, you're damn right that's getting changed tonight."
Actually, don't mind him just. Lifting up onto his toes to scan the area around them.
no subject
"Right. Right! How could I forge--What? Rule breaker?! Ha, no. I don't think so!" he said over the music, laughing, then... "Well, maybe a SMALL rule or two. Small ones though!" Or Bend a few. Baby steps, Klaus. Please.
He didn't even notice the whoa, just that they were dancing and he had let himself go to it. Totally into it until... He blinked, pausing a bit as the other started to look around, talking about changing--w-what?
"No! Klaus! Klaus, it's okay, we don't have to do that." His face was going red as he realized what he had said at all.
no subject
He'd continue arguing about the whole rules and breaking them thing, but he's far too determined to find someone to plant one on Ben. Frankly, he's about two seconds away from dancing them into the nearest crowded circle and shouting hey, who wants to kiss my brother? The only reason he hesitates is Ben's protesting.
"Why not?" he counters, noting the flush spreading across the other male's cheeks. "Wait," a beat, his brow creasing, lips briefly pursing before he finishes his sentence. "Would you rather kiss a boy first? I'm not going to judge."
Klaus, no, that's... more than likely not what is going on here.
no subject
When the other looked at him again he gave a quick pleading look, only to sputter at the comment. "What? No! I mean, no, it doesn't matter. I mean, I swing both ways. I think. I mean, I'm not sure. I think I do. But, that wasn't the point at all." He rambled, stumbling over his words at the other.
"I just mean you don't have to find someone. Really."
no subject
The imploring way Ben's looking at him makes him feel a little bad-- 'little' being the keyword there, considering how his attention is still darting between the crowd, even though he continuously finds his way back to Ben. He just needs to stop telling Klaus these things, obviously.
"You think you swing both ways?" He raises a contemplative eyebrow, regarding the male in front of him then extricating one of his hands from Ben's to lift up and brush underneath his dark-ringed eyes. "Guess you won't know until you try," the taller of them insists. "Something tells me we need more shots."
no subject
He looks at the other with a unsure look, then he shrugs. I assume I'm attracted to both. That should be good enough, right?" He was dead before he could do anything about it after all.
And more drinks? Well, he wont argue that if it makes Klaus stop looking. See? Ben thinks he's smart. Drinks means that Klaus is off the topic, so he winces, then sucks it up and says "Sure, another drink, though I don't know if I can manage more shots. They taste terrible."
Oh Ben, honey, you should have taken the shots.
no subject
"Fair enough," Klaus agrees, offering a nonchalant shrug of his own. "Okay, fine, we'll do something else besides shots." His hand gestures toward the bar, then he curls his fingers a little more firmly with Ben's and starts leading them back that way.
He positively should have went with the shots, but once they get back to their server from earlier, the fishbowls he orders them look far safer than the harshness of the straight liquor they were downing earlier.
Although, while the drinks look less dangerous, they're quite the opposite, since there's more than a little alcohol hidden beneath all the sugary syrups and lemon-lime carbonation. Between the two of them though, finishing the bowls should be a cinch, but they'll surely be feeling it afterward.
no subject
"Okay. good." he said and let the other lead the way. When the fishbowls were ordered he whistled, because they were large but cute. He agreed these were better than shots, and after a taste? He liked them a lot more than shots too, because clearly there wasn't much alcohol in these. They tasted too good.
Though it snuck up on him, the alcohol. This had to be more than a few shots worth of booze. He rested a hand on his belly a moment and let out a sigh. "I am.... ffffffucked up." He said, cursing being a good sign that he was drunk. "W-what was... in these?" He asked, completely missing the fact that a pair of girls had been watching them for the past ten minutes.
no subject
He watches Ben almost the entire time he drinks, pulling from his own straw and plucking little gummy fish out of the bowl to eat at the end. The extra alcohol that has absorbed in them will be perfect for Klaus; he isn't sure if Ben should be downing more liquor if he's already feeling pretty messed up.
"Uhhh... the basic fishbowl recipe has rum, vodka, and blue curaçao? So, that's three different kinds of alcohol." During his fishing (haha) task, he's been mostly oblivious to the fact they're being watched too, though after he eats a couple lime slices, that's when he happens to glance over at Ben and catch the two women looking at them. He raises his eyebrows consideringly, flutters his eyelashes in an attempt to clear the drunken haze on his brain then leans in to whisper, "Think we've got a couple of admirers."
no subject
And yet as he watches the other pluck gummy fish out of the bowl, Ben leans in to stab one with a straw and eat it as well. "Oh." he said to what was in it. "That's worse than shots, isn't it? God, Klaus, God." he had nothing more to say than that, really. He sucked on a finger to clean the alcoholic gummy slime off. A soft Hmm given to the admirers comment.
He glanced over and watched two girls sipping on their own colorful drinks, giggling at the boys, waving fingers at them. Ben looked away and back to Klaus, eyes wide a moment then... "We should d-dance more. Or get ... get... a-another drink..." his panicked comment to being watched by anyone. Not a good reaction, really.
no subject
As soon as Ben looks over, Klaus sneaks another glance of his own, eyes widening with surprise when the other male turns back to him, looking like he'sβ Well, awful as it is to make the joke: like he's seen a ghost. "Hey, it's okay," he reassures, reaching his unoccupied hand to gingerly squeeze Ben's wrist. "Here." Passing the lime slice between his fingers to his brother, he waits until it's taken, offers the girls a wink and waves back before tugging at Ben's sleeve.
"Come on, let's get back out there." Because if they order anymore drinks, he isn't certain he'll be able to get them home without a few problems here or there. That, and this gives him a reason to show off a little, even if he's already blowing kisses toward the girls to distract them as he's leading Ben back to the dance floor.
no subject
It's okay. Eat a lime slice. At least that's what he assumed it was for. He chewed on the soaked lime slice a moment and nodded. It was okay. Then he was tugged to go back to the dance floor. He left the rest of the slice in the bowl and let Klaus pull him along. "Dancing is good."
And Klaus is blowing kisses across the floor to the girls and Ben is chuckling, blushing once again, but chuckling none the less. Okay, so it wasn't so bad, and they were no doubt watching Klaus anyhow.
This time around he took no guidance for him to start dancing, and though it's not the best, he's not bad. For a newb. And give them exactly one song, before those two girls are slipping in to dance with the two of them. And not just Klaus. Both of them. And look at Ben not shying away! Liquid confidence works every time.
