The smile is better; at least with that, it doesn't distract him as much from getting them inside. Having Ben stop so he can check Klaus's head (and inadvertently say it's empty) will cause standstill though, even if only for a few minutes. Number Four doesn't seem to mind a little coddling either, since he'd cracked his head pretty solidly against the door.
He shrugs, leans into the hand on his forehead, eyes flickering shut at the tenderhearted touch. "It's not a long drop, at least? Not that I'm saying we should test our durability by falling down them, but." He's just sayin', you know?
After giving an amused chuckle and reaching to circle Ben's wrist, Klaus rolls his shoulders again, briefly directs his attention to open the door then gives an insistent tug. "It's fine. I'll be better once we're inside and I can cool off a little. Maybe have a smoke?"
