"Exactly." Klaus's expression creases again, teeth sinking into the side of his cheek, momentarily chewing as he argues with himself on what he should say. "You've been there for me this entire time. Let me take over for once, yeah? I may steer myself into trouble, but not you." Because family is something he cares about.
Blinking owlishly toward Ben's answer, he tilts his head, considering this possible outcome, his shoulders slowly lifting. "Maybe? I... wasn't there to see." Not a complaint, just an observation. "It's okay to have liked it and be enjoying yourself, either way."
At least Ben holding onto him will be somewhat easier to lead them toward the entrance they'd come through during the beginning of the night. It may be a bit difficult to do though, what with how the other keeps burying into his neck and hugging him the way he does-- then he mentions him smelling good and Klaus's cheeks are instantly a brilliant shade of red, even before he registers that Ben's kissed him. "That? Oh, it's just, uhm, a new perfume Allison bought me some time back. Figured I'd try it, since we were going out."
